About Hungary


Located in the heart of Europe, the Republic of Hungary lies in the Carpathian Basin in the Central Eastern Europe and it is bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Ukraine. Extremely rich in history and culture with architecturally stunning buildings. With its natural beauty, Hungary is a remarkable country to visit. Population of around 10 million and a Central European climate with hot summers and cold winters Hungary  has a fascinating artistic, historical and cultural element after surviving many heroic struggle against oppressions'. The capital Budapest is located in a central  northern position on the banks of the river Danube and is considered to be the one of the Top European destinations, even above Prague.



 

 

The Hungarians are very proud, resilient and patriotic race who are generally very hospitable. Nature lovers will delight in Hungary spectacular scenery, Lake Balaton for example is Europe's largest freshwater lake known as the Hungarian Sea. Take a trip to Szentendre, a peaceful folk village north of the city on the Danube bend, and walk through its cobblestones streets, which is just 20 min. away from Budapest by car. Hungary also has around 400 Thermal Springs in 85 different locations whose therapeutic and medicinal properties have attracted visitors for many years.
